If she is driving a SAG vehicle, why do you not plan the route when you are together? Or at least plan specific intersections where she knows you will go to that are on your route?
We will have specific addresses to meet at, both during each days ride and at the end point each day. But, ideally, she would be able to see the day's route, my location and her location all together. This way, she can find me if needed. Perhaps this is not necessary, but it is desireable.
Again, I am not using the phone for navigation.
