I think I know what you're trying to get across here, but the way you worded it makes it seem as though carrying water bottles and repair kits are as unnecessary as extra fat. Being dehydrated with a broken bike on the side of the road isn't going to be fast nor make for a better workout.

No idea what you're talking about with tri bikes though, but that's already been called out.​​​
