Thinking of purchasing on Ebay but need help finding the right bike
I'm looking for a bike that could tackle most road conditions - gravel, dirt, rocks, bumps, holes, etc. - but without the thick mountain bike tires, since I will mostly be doing city/adventure biking. I previously had a Rocky Mountain bike that I bought used from someone who had just biked from Canada to California with it, and I really liked it (even though it was in crappy condition) but I had to sell when I moved states. It had the tires I just described and I loved the freedom of being able to go over most terrain and not worrying about road conditions or getting my tire stuck in a crack. I'm not quite sure exactly how to find what I'm looking for on Ebay and I was hoping for some help with the search keywords. I've heard bikes like this called "gravel" or "adventure" bikes. I've also been wondering if I could just buy a mountain bike and throw some slightly slicker tires on it. Also I would prefer to have drop bars and I want a top tube that's parallel to the ground.
