The bike came with Sun Tour Superb Pro except the crank which is a Aero Mighty and is one of the parts I was thinking of switching out due to it being a little bent. Will a new crank fit in the old frame?
The Peloton was the 2nd bike down from the Paramount. Some say that the Panasonic built bikes were better than Chicago built Paramounts. That is one of the reasons Schwinn started the Waterford WI plant. You can probably fetch some good money for a Suber Pro on ebay. Use the funds to buy a build kit or keep the bars, stem and seatpost and just buy a group. Ultegra or Centaur are very nice. IMO Centaur is a great deal for the money. I'm using it on a restored 1995 Waterford. It works as well as my old Chorus group. Good luck
