Hi everyone, first time posting here. I have a video of the issue but as I’m a newbie I can’t upload it - So I’m going to try to describe it.

I have a GX 12sp cassette on a Novatec Synergy hub. When pedalling Backwards or freewheeling, there’s a squeak from the hub. It’s always there. Just a light squeaking heard along with the usual noise of the hub. If you spin fast, the noise of the hub drowns out the squeaking.

I’ve had the cassette off the hub - and turned the freehub body by hand - no squeaking. Put the cassette back in place, even just placed on and not tightened up, it squeaks when rotating the cassette - again alongside the expected ratchet noise of the hub engagement.

Almost sounds like rubber rubbing on metal. Quite high pitched.
