Your focus on UV protection seems a little misguided to me. I'd think the immediate need will be protection from airborne objects getting into eyes.
UV is sort of a long term issue that likely won't manifest itself until your daughter is at retirement age. Even then it's treatable. It's called cataract surgery.
It is a good idea to limit it when ever you can, but don't be guilty of letting her take a stone to the eyeball because you turned down a pair of glasses that didn't have the ultimate in UV protection.
