What does a wifi connection get you when you ride? If I don't do that, what will I be giving up? (Mobile hotspot feature drains the phone battery quickly.) I'm guessing it won't be a deal breaker but would love to understand more.
I either leave my phone home when I ride, or keep it in a pocket BT connected to my watch. The watch can tell me about texts etc.
When plan a route in advance I normally use Connect to plan it if it's on roads, or Gaia for hiking and climbing.
