I relocated here to Charlotte last July from Phoenix, and I'm looking at getting into road biking. I own a mountain bike and have enjoyed that sport in the past but haven't done too much of it here at all. I'm thinking about switching to road biking as I get the impression that there is a lot more local opportunity for road biking without having to drive very far. Am I right? (I'm in Matthews).

I'd like to find a nice, used road bike that doesn't cost too much $$$ since I'll be giving the sport a test drive. Does anyone know where I can find a good, used road bike? Is there a quality bike store around here that is affordable?
