Welcome to the forum. The serial number indicates a European model manufactured during the 1984 calendar year. Unfortunately, it does indicate when during the calendar year, so it could be a 1984 model or a 1985 model manufactured in late 1984.

In the USA, the Royale was an upper entry level model, bordering on mid-range but models do not always correlate between different markets.
