I installed the 23t sprocket last night and went on a quick mile ride. Like you said, seems to reduce it about a full gear and now 2nd is my main driver, 1st is good for hills and 3rd is finally useful. Once the kids are out of the trailer I may even consider stepping up to a 22t.
