A friend gave me his old Stumpy. Just wondering if anyone knows the year of manufacture and any other details. I stripped it down. Got rid of what little rust it had. Paint is chipped all over the place. I was thinking of powder coating it and using it as my "weird"/fun/mixed-terrain/commuter bike. I have a ton of older parts waiting for a frame.

Just wondering about it's story. Also, the only frame damage is some gouges on the chain stay from a dropped chain (in one of the pics). I used a Dremel to grind off the high spots, but some pits remain. Will powder coating fill these in? They're not that deep.
