I like Cyclist magazine; most magazines are comprised of overt advertisements and covert ones, with little bona fide content (articles that are driven by content more than by selling bike stuff). Cyclist magazine seems to be slightly less dependant on ad revenue and, because it’s a bigger magazine than the others, it has more articles on a bigger range of topics. It does cost more though.
I quite like the ride reports in Cyclist. The focus on actually riding vs gear. But I find after a while it all gets a bit samey so I don't subscribe continually. I might take up one of their 6 month offers once in a while and keep them for future route ideas (particularly the alpine routes).
