I scooped this one up yesterday evening for $60. I drove about an hour round trip expecting that this 1988 model would have 700c wheels because I knew that the Miyata touring bikes had 700c wheels by this point and I (wrongly, it turns out) assumed that this would be a Miyata-made bike. This bike is made in Taiwan (serial # begins with M8A).

While I was a little disappointed, I'm certainly not complaining because this is a fine bike in great condition for the price. I'm just curious if anyone knows when Univega started sourcing bikes from Taiwan instead of Japan?
