I have a similar challenge. Have a 1974 Raleigh Sprite with old spring mattress type seat with clamp post bracket for 2 rails. Purchased a Brooks B17 which is standard 1 rail config. Can I make this work? Seems that forcing it will bend the washer making it less secure. Thanks in advance for any tips!
