Regarding potential stolen bikes for sale
If the victim of a stolen bike has not reported via a post on Bike Index, in my opinion they don't care about it's recovery. It's fairly easy to post on the site, and one would think that if
they cared much at all, they'd go through the research on how to report a stolen bike and would find this site. That's my reasoning. I have personally helped return three bikes to their owners via Bike Index.
