Easy to believe the Craigslist no-shows. Social behavior seems to be on a downward direction this days IMO.
I read an interesting article a couple years back, (pre-pandemic) where headhunters and hiring managers reported a trend of people interviewing and accepting job offers, then not showing up. And not responding to messages or phone calls. "Ghosting" they called it, sort of like on social media but in real life.
