You then suggest two gravel bikes instead. You are comparing a road bike to gravel bikes. In that case, the Aspero would be something to consider since its Cervelo's gravel bike and can handle wider tires.
If you need a wider tire and suspension for a road bike, then maybe just buy a full suspension mtb can call it a day.
The gentleman stated that he wanted more of an endurance bike so my mind goes to soft and more upright or a gravel type bike, thus the suggestion. Have fun..
