24 miles of flat-ish tempo, including 1-1/2 laps with the go-fast group at the Rose Bowl before needed to head home. I could definitely feel my recent lack of time on the bike. Power is down, and legs were loading up with lactic acid very quickly. Also, leaving the house at 5pm set me up for some fairly nervous conditions with the sun directly in line with west-bound streets, and low enough to be in the eyes of the drivers I was sharing the road with. I really don't want to do that again any time soon.
Really good point and concern about the drivers also being blinded and making harder to see a cyclist. Also, I bet many of them will still be looking at their phones
