I thought flightdeck died off once Ultegra 6700 was introduced back in '08 or '09 Apparently it wasn't killed off then.
Regardless, post some pics of the bike and components.
if the shifter does click and the derailleur doesn't move, then the cable is too loose. The clicking is the shifter taking up excess cable.
