My LBS has been very good about calling me when parts come in or when repairs are done. At an early point in my dealing with them, the owner even emailed me to make sure that a new wheel was living up to expectations. More recently, when drive train repairs were going to be more extensive than originally expected they called me to break the bad news and get approval to complete the extra work. I guess that's why I like my LBS.
