I like the cross-section views of the different cassette hub designs! I've got Shimano cassette hubs, which are not too complicated and put the right hand bearing cup & cone on the far right end. That Campy design, by comparison, strikes me as rather complex and a bit confusing.. it looks like there is a bearing cup inboard of the cassette assembly, but maybe has more bearings further out on the axle too? This wasn't Campy's best period for engineering, but perhaps I'm a bit too pessimistic? For those of you who know the Campy and the Shimano designs, what have I missed?
