OK, you can do it if you have the tools. Look at the headset. You need a big adjustable to get at the locknut, and a headset wrench (big and skinny) to get at the adjustable nut below. You'll also need some method for getting the crown race off of the fork. Using a punch wrapped in a rag has worked for me in the past, but be careful. Parktool.com for rundown.
