I had a oops 10 years ago and bought a Bontrager one the same. One ride and it was gonzo. Hated the damn frame attachments too. They haven't changed either, AFAIK.
Are you serious? A tenth of a mile is only 528 feet (0.161 km). Heck, not far from where you live you can watch your dog run away for 3 days, unless the grass is too tall On some of the Great Lakes or the ocean you can see a boat up to about 7 miles away before the curvature of the earth blocks the view.

I think it is also possible close to where I live, Oregon's High Desert, to see that far,
