I'm a bit annoyed that they cylinder is not rebuildable. I can get master and wheel cylinder rebuild kits for 60 year old VWs but not a 4 year old bike????

But after talking to staff at 3 different shops it seems that the way it is for both Shimano and Sram.

I also have to buy the entire shifter, hose and caliper.
