Good windy ride in, nice blue skies but I almost had an accident.
I came down the hill over a pedestrian/bike crossing which when I get to the other side means a sharp left past the barrier then immediate sharp right (within 10 feet) up a lane which is quite steep.
I did the move and as I lifted my head up for the climb the sight which met me was three pairs of very shapely stocking clad legs, suspenders, extremely short mini school skirts and white school shirts tied halter style. This at just after 8 a.m!
The girls (16 or 17 years old) were carrying balloons (I avoided the obvious retort on the basis I don't want to be arrested), and, seeing my shocked look and the fact I almost slammed the bike into the wall, one of them said "Last day at school".
I passed more St Trinian style schoolgirls further on.
Got my heart rate up I can tell you, but I'm too old for that sort of surprise first thing in the morning.
