I won’t address the compressor but screwing on a Schrader adapter all the time is a pain. Get a better adapter like the SKS Presta adapter. It slips on and you can easily use a Schrader chuck on it. It also comes with a nice little chain that allows it to hang on the compressor hose so that it right where you need to use it.
