Admittedly it's a bad habit of mine, ending rides a little short, ending intervals 1-10s early etc. I know the mental fortitude is valuable in race situations but hey, lets say I do it in the interest of longevity.

Sometimes I use it as an excuse to be a troll on Strava... I enjoy spinning around the neighborhood after long rides to hit 99.x miles. When the comments roll in, I'll say things like "Look, I tried ok???", or "I gave it all I had."
