Also, I couldn't get my chainring bolts to budge at all, even though the ring is wobbly on the crank. What's up with that? I managed to bloody my finger trying to get the bolts to turn also.. mmm.. grease 'n blood.
I think you need to add some washers on the other side of the crank, provided you can get your CR bolts loose. I usually cut up an old worn out chainring for the custom fit. This keeps the CR bolts from coming loose.
