great idea! the one thing you are going to have to figure out 1st is, did the company make the models alike in europe & in north america, ie quebec? i think the canadian made units started around early 1980s, when the downtube decals switched from the lion in the middle, with checkboard above & below, & switched to lions with fading checkboard below the lions. in around 87 or 88, they switched to diagonal stripes on top tube & seat tube. the canadian made units made with carbolite 103 may have continued with the entry level 103 tubing after the euro units stopped using this tubing. if someone has the canadian brouchures for the 80s, things would be clearer. at least the 103 stickers say 'made in canada' for the french-canadian models. i imagine they did use reynolds for the top cdn made units, or did just use european made units i wonder? i think the late 80s models named after tour destinations may have been made in asia for the european market. (confused yet?)
