This is about the "rim tape" off-shoot of the original thread, but a thinner tape might be more appropriate today because of there being less use of such narrow, higher-pressure tires.
This would reduce weight and make tire-fitting easier.
But what about those of us who do things for no practical purpose? Like riding on 23mm clinchers at 110psi on low profile alloy rims? Stop this thing misinterpreted as progress.
