I'm kind of slow on the uptake. I had not understood your point at first, probably because I don't have any bikes with Campagnolo parts. I have sometimes seen the misspelling "Shamano," but there seems to come in a very distant second to "Campagnola. " I just checked ebay, and there are something like 20,000 Campagnolo parts for sale, and around 600 "Campagnola" parts. On the other hand, there are over 200,000 Shimano items, and only 11 "Shamano" items, mostly fishing-related.

I mostly buy Stronglight, Simplex, and Suntour parts, none of which have any obvious misspellings. Darn it.

EDIT: Good lord, I see that I did type "Campagola" on the first go-around. Thereby demonstrating my point, I guess, that I'm not much of a Campagnolo consumer.
