Ah, I understand what you are dealing with. I've seen my 1030 just power up when charging. I also have seen my unit power up if senses it's moving, as in I shove the bike in the back of my truck, the unit is powered off (or at least screen is dark, not necessarily the same thing), when I take bike out of truck, unit has self powered on. Done this a few times. It has not started a track recording though. Haven't figured it out yet. I know my Karoo 2 has no issues like this.
