My lefthand brifter shifts up nicely progressively in four steps. The brifter shifts down nicely for one step, shifts down one more step but the click sounds funny. The next shift the derailleur slams all the way back down. I've done the WD40 thing a lot and shifted the brifter a lot to try to free up and clean out any goop that might be cloging the mechanism. Now I'm thinking something is broken inside and there is nothing else I can do but replace the brifter. BTW the brifter is shifting a triple.
