Bikes: 1961 Ideor, 1966 Perfekt 3 Speed AB Hub, 1994 Bridgestone MB-6, 2006 Airnimal Joey, 2009 Thorn Sherpa, 2013 Thorn Nomad MkII, 2015 VO Pass Hunter, 2017 Lynskey Backroad, 2017 Raleigh Gran Prix, 1980s Bianchi Mixte on a trainer. Others are now gone.

After the mosquitos in Nova Scotia and PEI on my bike tour in Jun 2019, I decided to buy some permethrin (Sawyer brand) from REI to treat my bike jerseys. They are knit and the mosquitos have too easy of a time poking through the knit fabric.

I have had two backpacking trips since then where I treated my shirts, shorts and hiking boot gaiters, but those trips were virtually bug free so I can't say if the permethrin works or not.

I think permethrin is illegal for consumers to buy in Canada, just commenting on that in before some of you up north go searching and can't find it.
