In all seriousness, if bugs look like to be an issue, having loose pants and long sleeve shirt, plus a small mosquito net (the ones with just netting, takes up no space) are things you'll want on a trip.
I specifically would want to avoid black fly season, and mosquitoes are usually time of day dependent, but some areas are just going to be bad at any time.
