You have a mix of things here. Amp is a figure of power. As you mention 20 amp and 15 amp, I'm going to assume these are actually ah, which is measurement of capacity.
If this is the case, as someone replied above, you will be fine.
20ah from 15ah is a 33% capacity gain. From this if your 15ah gets you 30mi, 20ah should get you just under 40mi.
