I have a similar '89 frame. During my research on it, I read that the Mondial had the DS chrome chain stay. If yours has original chrome, it may be a Mondial. The '89 Specialissima and Giro had painted chain stays, like mine. Given mine had a horrendous rasta respray, I had no idea which model it started as. I asked the family which of the two names that they liked better and it was re-christened a Giro.
