FWIW, my stand has similar pads. After one too many sessions of sweeping the garage floor to find them AGAIN, I cut the valve off the next couple of tubes that weren't repairable. Wrapped the tube around the pad and clamp, tied the tube on the back side, and it's stayed put for years.
