"For sale is a rare vintage Schwinn Paramount Paramountain bike in original condition with a light restoration. I cleaned all parts thoroughly and regreased the bearings, and applied wax to shine. These mountain bikes were sold as a frameset only in 1987, the year after Ned Overend won the NORBA National Championship on the Schwinn team riding a red Paramountain just like this one. It is estimated that Schwinn only made about 1000 of these frames total, at their Greenberg, MS factory. About the bike 19 inches Tange Prestige lugged steel frame No dents or frame damage. Some paint scratches and small chips from use. Suntour XCD drivetrain (crankset, derailleurs, shifters, pedals) Suntour XC Sport hubs SR Royal seatpost U brake front and rear (rear is positioned near bottom bracket). Serial number indicates this was built in June 1986 Given the rarity I am not sure how to value this bike. I am open to reasonable offers. Pickup or test ride is in Yorba Linda"
