Keeping with the ice/advil/rest for a while and see if it resolve. Hoping it was just an overuse issue due to time off the bike.

It's the lateral knee stretches, like the figure 4 and hurdlers' stretches that help the most. There's a good chance that you had an inflamed bursa caused by a too-tight tendon. That should resolve quickly and be OK by Sunday.
