I have a Thule Helium, a hitch mounted, folding rack made from welded aluminum and designed for a 1-1/4” receiver hitch. It works fine and even survived a very low speed hit from a Seattle city bus (!).

I used it on an ‘07 Ford Focus for years before finally moving up to a Jeep.
