That was my "Gateway bike", except mine was a 480. I bought it in '88, after the PO had installed a 105 6spd index set. Rode thousands of miles around north central IN, did a century at 16 on it. I was probably ~5'8" at the time and it's the 23" frame. It has influenced my preferences for how a bike rides so much with that super flexy feeling, just can't stand modern stiff alloy.
