I figured out the drag problem on the Fulcrum wheels. Too much bearing preload. I undid the grub screw, turned the preload collar just about 1/8 of a turn and it was already better. Another 1/8th and it would turn from its own weight. No play, so I tightened it up again. Tomorrow will tell the tale.
Wow. I've owned several sets of Fulcrum/Campy wheels and they tend to get loose, not tight. I have to check mine periodically to make sure that they have enough load.
