28 mph on the flat, no wind, mtb tires = 600W
25 mph, road tyres = 380W

So a difference of some 220W right there

.....and you say the speed difference is even bigger on the climbs?

That's it, I'm ordering some 150 mm cranks and turning pro, lol.
