50 miles away from home I wouldn't want to risk having to find another tire. So unless you carry a spare tire with you, I'd change it out now.

But I wouldn't be worried about it assploding, if that is to be taken to mean you expect some sort of chain reaction to take place causing you great harm. I'd only expect it to either flat or hear some rubber slapping on a frame or stay. Hopefully I wouldn't ignore that too long before investigating.
