The newer bike and pedestrian paths around my city cut across numerous driveways and lesser status intersecting roads. So when I ride that route, I am on the main road so that the question of my right-of-way isn't in question. It's not quite apparent to most motorist that a bicycle on the path paralleling the main road and going straight across a driveway or intersecting road might have the right-of-way in some jurisdictions over traffic using those driveways and intersecting roads, or for turning traffic from the main road.
