Well, not mailboxes but having had a couple of experiences with dogs, I am a bit jumpy upon hearing a bark. I was riding one day and heard a "yelp" behind me. Started spinning and kicked into higher gear. Darn! Stupid dog was catching up to me and getting louder! Really put my head down and cranked as hard as I could, heart pounding, etc. WHAT!! IT'S STILL COMING CLOSER!! Figured I was done....right until the pickup truck passed me....with the dog in the back. I almost fell over laughing and full of relief.

This is where a mirror might really come in handy.
I hate it when I pickup passes and a dog in the back barks at me just as they go by. It usually scares the *&^% out of me!
