Sears bicycles back in the day were like the Walmart bicycles of today. Most of the Walmart bicycles 50 years from now will have very little value. Age alone does not give an item value. Desirability is a key part of the value equation. Buyers tend to want the bikes from back in their youth that were the ones they wanted to own. Myself, I rode a bunch of garage sale junkers. What I wanted was a Schwinn Paramount. That had to wait until I was an adult with a good job.

In my market, I would not be able to recoup the cost of new tires on such a bike. Best to sell as is as a decoration piece, or let someone else put the money into it.
