It may seem like there is a weight savings, but extra mass has to be used in the upper tubes and crowns to achieve more clamp surface to resist flex. Conventional forks generally have the best weight/stiffness ratio. While inverted may look cool, seals are lubed better, and the stanchions are better protected from nicks, and scratches, the Non-Inverted design has more pros than cons.
