I believe the light can be upgraded to say E3 PRO 2 which has a switch, or Edelux II which would definitely be my choice. However if frame is in the way of a beam it’s an issue. Maybe the light can be positioned a little higher up using extender bracket but I’ll need to see how it will effect the fold.
It's partly the frame that is in the way, and partly the lowrider carrier, if you have that. It's not a big deal anyway, just a minor annoyance. If the light is more than 5 mm or so higher up it will impact the frame if the handlebars "fall" more than 90 degrees to the left (when parked). For folding it's not a problem directly, but of course the longer up and forwards it is, the higher the risk of it being damaged if the folded bike is hit by other luggage, for example.

Dynamo hub will always have resistance, even when not under load. While going through E3 Pure3 specs I noticed they mentioned about daylight. If this model has light sensor and switches to daylight automatically, daylight LEDs should have less lumens = less hub resistance during daytime.
With a physical off switch I get the minimum daylight resistance, but that's unimportant. Even with full light at night the resistane is so small that I don't care. Otherwise I (we) wouldn't choose a dynamo. The great thing about daylight sensors is having the light go on automatically when you go under a dark overpass or tunnel in the daytime. Very nice feature.
I added more pictures about my custom switch and taillight (Busch & Müller Toplight View). I can switch the light with my foot while riding, but mostly I avoid that, to not risk damaging anything.
